1 owner-police interceptor-local ga police car-current emissions-original books plus 40 service records. Low maintenance cost, reliable engine, plenty of space. Powerful, good acceleration, easy to handle the car. Huge trunk and enough space for 3 adults in the back. Too bad ford made the big mistake to stop its production in 2011. I think they will regret it eventually. The way the engine sounds when it picks up, its great passenger space inside and the big 17 inch tires make me feel like like i am inside an airplane already. The ride is so comfortable. It is a great experience to drive it or ride on it. The ride is so smooth. The police interceptor is equipped with an external oil-to-engine-coolant oil cooler to reduce engine oil temperatures, allowing the vehicles to operate at high rpm/high loads for an extended period of time without the risk of engine oil overheating and subsequent engine damage. The police interceptor engine calibration includes a slightly higher idle speed (by approximately 40 rpm) and minor changes in the emissions settings. The computer is tuned for more aggressive transmission shift points, and the transmission itself is built for firmer and harder shifts. The 2006present police interceptors are equipped standard with an open 3. 27:1 rear axle (axle code z5), with a trac loc 3. 27:1 rear axle (axle code x5) optional, and are electronically limited to 140 mph (225 km/h) due to critical driveline speed limitations (the weight of the vehicle with law-enforcement equipment on-board makes it highly unlikely the vehicle could ever reach this figure). An optional 3. 55:1 trac loc rear axle ratio with 120 mph speed limiter was also available (axle code c6). Pre-2006 police interceptors equipped with the 3. 27:1 rear axle ratio were generally limited to approximately 128 mph (206 km/h). With quality in mind, this vehicle is the perfect addition to take home. We don't subscribe to the old school reactive mindset of putting a vehicle out for sale, marking it up x percentage, and waiting for it to sell.
